Wargames Rules: Flint & Steel

Flint & Steel provides a tactical wargaming framework designed by Richard Kane and published by Clash of Arms Games. Intended primarily for the American War of Independence and the broader Age of Reason, the rules focus on the distinct linear tactics, command friction, and unit morale characteristic of 18th-century warfare.

The system handles battalion-level operations smoothly, making it suitable for refighting actions across both North American and European theatres. Formations, troop quality, and fire discipline play central roles, encouraging players to maintain cohesive battle lines and manage reserves effectively.
